Studio Andela is Marleen Andela, a dutch artist, hacker and writer. Marleen is working on independent artistic research projects that question digital culture, emerging technologies and the way that they affect our lives. Marleen Andela holds a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts from Academie Minerva in Groningen and is autodidact parametric designer. Marleen has an interest in Doughnut Economics, Solarpunk, circular economy, fab-labs, bio-art, object oriented ontology, Marshal McLuhan, David Bohm, Buddhism, artificial intelligence, deep-learning, core-energetics, open-source and digital fabrication. Besides Studio Andela, Marleen is working as a parametric designer at Adonin, a small design consultancy for civil engineering based in Harlingen (Fryslan, NL). In her own time she loves to practice yin yoga, do Kapala practice and attend ecstatic dance parties.
