We have developed a parametric tool for creating decorative prints, which can be used for a wide variety of applications; for example for designing textiles or for designing textures on websites. We are planning on doing several things with this algorithm. We are going to do a little crafts-project with it, which involves hacking an old pen plotter and some interior design tricks. We also are willing to team up with industry to work on projects a little bit bigger.
Back in 2015 we visited the Beyond Building conference in Barcelona to participate in the Building With Robots workshop. We were introduced to generative design, digital crafting, coding, robotic simulation and we ended with the manipulation of the actual robot present on site.
Back in 2016 we did a 3D scanned jeans project. For this project we used a Kinect as a 3D scanner in order to take measurements, which we used as input for generating custom tailored pants patterns.
